A Family Tradition, Four Decades in the Making

What started in a Bangkok workshop in the early 1980s has grown into something worn in boardrooms from Calgary to Amsterdam. The name changes. The hands-on standard never did.

Tailor working by hand — Vicky Collection Bangkok workshop

Where It Started

Tailoring is not just what we do at Vicky Collection. It is what our family has always done.

The story begins in the early 1980s in Bangkok, Thailand, in the heart of the Sukhumvit district. Vicky opened his first workshop under the name Modesto Collections with one clear vision: classic men's fashion, handmade to a standard that lasts. Every suit cut in-house. Every measurement taken in person. Every piece finished by hand.

He built the workshop on cloth sourced from mills in England, Italy, and Ireland, and on a reputation that spread not through advertising but through the work itself. Clients in Europe began to take notice. Over the following years, Vicky expanded into the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Norway, and Austria, travelling each season to meet clients where they were. A suit made in Bangkok was being worn at meetings in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Brussels.

Through more than 40 years and thousands of satisfied clients, the same principle held: quality endures. Vicky's standards have never been outsourced and never been compromised. Every garment still handmade. Every fabric still verified at the source.

Calgary, Canada — The Next Chapter

The second chapter of Vicky Collection begins in Calgary, Alberta, led by Arun Narang, Vicky's son and the next generation of the family.

Arun grew up in the business. He understands the craft through decades of watching and learning from Vicky firsthand, not from a course or a credential. He knows what a well-made suit feels like on the body before it is finished, and he knows what a client needs before they can fully articulate it themselves.

Today, Arun brings the same devotion to quality to clients across Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto. He visits every client personally at their home, their office, or wherever works for them. He takes the measurements himself, walks through fabric and style options, and stays involved from first consultation to final delivery.

The offering spans fully custom suits for men and women: traditional cuts, contemporary silhouettes, bold linings, and everything between. Every garment is made to order in our Bangkok workshop and hand-finished with precision. Nothing is off the rack. Nothing is produced without knowing who it is for.

While Vicky continues to serve the European market each season, Arun is building the same legacy in Canada, one client, one fitting, one suit at a time.

The Same Standard, Every Time

One workshop, verified materials, and personal guidance through every fitting.

One Workshop. Every Stitch.

Vicky's workshop in Bangkok cuts, constructs, and hand-finishes every garment we make. Your pattern stays on file. Your preferences are remembered. When you return, we already know your build.

Cloth You Can Feel the Difference In

We use English woollens, Italian weaves, and Irish linens from verified mills. Bemberg lining. Mother-of-pearl buttons. Fabrics that hold their shape and feel the same in year five as they did in week one.

We Keep Up With What's Changing

We follow the direction of the industry so you don't have to. Whether you want a timeless double-breasted suit or a current silhouette, Vicky and Arun bring ideas to every consultation, not just a tape measure.
